Membership Conditions

Associations, unions and clubs established under the 23/2016 Associations Law and operating in the field of folk dances can apply to become members of the Federation.

The documents required for membership are as follows:

  • (1) Legal Entity Registration Certificate to be obtained from the District Governor's Office

  • (2) Bylaws

  • (3) Activity report showing the activities of the Association for the last year

  • (4) Membership Registration Application Form of the Federation

  • (5) Documents required for at least 20 dancers who meet the conditions for obtaining a license

(License form, commitment, health report and guardian's letter for those under 18 years of age consent.)

Applications are reviewed by the Board of Directors and evaluated within one month at the latest and notified to the relevant organization in writing with the reasons. Those whose applications are found suitable are registered as members of the Federation in return for a registration fee.

Accordingly, these organizations are treated as full members until the Federation's general assembly. However, at least 3 (three) months must pass from the membership approval date for representation in the general assembly.

Federation Registration and Membership Fee:

Organizations that want to become members of the Federation register by paying half of the current minimum wage once.

In addition to the registration fee, members must pay annual membership fees of half of the minimum wage by the end of March each year. Members who do not pay their membership fees by the end of March can pay their membership fees by the end of June with a double penalty. Memberships of those who do not pay their membership fees by the end of June will be suspended.

Re-applications of those whose memberships are suspended will not be considered until a minimum of 6 months have passed and their membership will be valid if they pay a penalty of 3 times the current annual membership fee.

In order for members to vote in the general assembly, they must have paid their membership fees at least 3 months before the general assembly date.

Those who will become members of the federation after March must pay their annual membership fees within 2 months at the latest. However, the annual membership fee payment cannot exceed the current year under any circumstances.
